Lime On! Soak Up the Sun and the Vibes at St. Thomas Carnival 2025

Lime On! Soak Up the Sun and the Vibes at St. Thomas Carnival 2025

There’s a rhythm in the Caribbean air that calls you to slow down, smile more, and live a little freer. And in St. Thomas, there’s no better time to do just that than during Carnival.

This year, the 73rd St. Thomas Carnival will light up the island from April 27 to May 3, and trust us — it's the kind of experience that stays with you long after your tan fades.

Where Culture Meets Island Chill

Carnival is the biggest celebration on the island, but it’s not just a party — it’s a vibe. It's a time when the streets of Charlotte Amalie come alive with color, music, and the sound of steel pans under the Caribbean sun. It’s families gathering for good food, friends sharing a laugh, and strangers becoming fast friends.

Pre-carnival events start as early as April 12, with the crowning of the Carnival Princess, followed by the Queen on April 19. Then it heats up with the Calypso Monarch showdown on April 26, where artists bring that classic Caribbean spice to the stage.

By April 27, the island fully transforms. Think boat races, music, and moments that feel like a long, warm exhale. It’s not just about the events — it’s about liming. We’re hanging out, sipping something cold, catching a breeze, and just... being. No rush. No worries.

Come for the Music, Stay for the Food

From April 28 to May 3, Carnival Village comes to life with free nightly performances from top local and international talent. Whether you’re dancing barefoot in the sand or swaying in one of our easy-breezy outfits from The Limelife Co., you’ll feel right at home.

Hungry? The Food Fair is a must. It's where local chefs and vendors serve up the soul of the island on a plate. We’re talking about fried fish, johnnycakes, kallaloo, coconut tarts, and more. Everything made with love and a little island mischief.

The Parades: Where the Island Shines Brightest

Then there’s J’ouvert, happening at sunrise on May 1. Picture paint, powder, and thousands of dancing feet and moving bodies in the streets. It’s messy, magical, and full of joy.

The Children’s Parade on May 2 brings tiny dancers and young performers dressed in glitter and feathers. And on May 3, the Adult Parade takes over, stretching two miles of bold colors, wild costumes, and all-out celebration. The night ends with fireworks lighting up the Caribbean sky.

Your Island State of Mind

Carnival is more than just an event. It’s a state of mind. It's peace, play, pride, and a little bit of playful trouble (if you're up for it!). It's about looking good and feeling even better.

So come, lime with us this Carnival season. Bring your sunglasses, your appetite, and your best island fit. We’ve got the apparel. You bring the vibes.

See you there! 😎
